Alternative: Vinegar Wash
Mix 1 part white vinegar with 3 parts water.
Soak the strawberries for 2–5 minutes.
Rinse well under cool running water.
Dry completely before storing.
Storage Tip
After washing:
Let the strawberries dry completely.
Store them in a container lined with paper towels.
Keep refrigerated and use within 3–5 days.
Note
Washing strawberries can help remove dirt and some surface insects, but no washing method guarantees the removal of everything that may be inside damaged fruit. If berries are moldy, mushy, or heavily infested, it’s best to discard them.
